August & Fall News: The Hemingways

Dear Readers,

Lots of great events & information to share this time!

Friday August 28th: Hemingway reading & signing
We just confirmed that both Sean and Patrick Hemingway will be here on Friday, August 28th at 7pm to discuss the development process of A Moveable Feast: The Restored Edition. They will also sign books. If you are unable to attend, let us know and we’ll be happy to reserve signed copies & even ship them if you need.

One Book One Bozeman
This year’s book is The Soloist by Steve Lopez, and events for this year’s community reading program begin soon. Check the One Book One Bozeman website for more details. Books are available here in paperback for $15.

Remember to save the date for the Jamie Ford signing. On Tuesday, September 15th, Ford, a Great Falls resident, will read from and sign his acclaimed debut novel, Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Read what librarian Nancy Pearl had to say about this book that Mary Jane and others have greatly enjoyed.

On Tuesday, October 6th at 7pm, local author, W. H. Muhlenfeld will be here to read from and sign his new novel, The Amen Heresy.

Local speaker, photographer, MSU grad, and now author, Kevin Michael Connolly, has a memoir coming out in October called Double Take. Our sneak peek has us very impressed. Look for a reading and signing with Connolly here this fall.

Mary Jane DiSanti, owner of the Country Bookshelf, turns 60 this November 10th! (She doesn’t know we’re writing this, but she has agreed to let us celebrate her milestone birthday at the store.) Plan to stop in this November and wish her congratulations and a happy birthday.

We’re hiring!
We are looking for a part-time bookseller who loves both books and people and who is available afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This is a great job for the right person. For more information, please stop by the store. To apply, please bring a resume and fill out our store application.

More events to come this fall (details still being worked out) – so stay tuned! Remember that you can find us at our website, Facebook & Twitter.

Thanks for all of your support!

Best,
The Country Bookshelf Staff
