JULY 2010

  • Friday, July 9th 6-8pm – Art Walk

We’ll be open late for the Art Walk. Stop in to visit with the folks from the Intermountain Opera Association who will set up a table in the bookstore for each Art Walk this season.

Chat with this Missoula author and have him sign his new book Montana Curiosities.

Local author Jim Cole will share his story as told in the new book, Blindsided: Surviving a Grizzly Attack and Still Loving the Great Bear.

A journalist from Great Falls, Carol Bradley will be here to share her new nonfiction book, Saving Gracie: How One Dog Escaped the Shadowy World of American Puppy Mills.

  • Friday, July 23rd through Sunday, July 25th – Crazy Days

Downtown Crazy Days is a time to walk downtown in search of great deals from many local merchants. We will have tables of insanely discounted books & cards.

  • Tuesday, July 27th 7pm – Book Club

Book: The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas Our Book Club is open to all.

AUGUST 2010

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Tom Brokaw will be here to discuss this literary masterpiece and his contribution to the new book Scout, Atticus & Boo. This event has moved to the Ellen Theatre, just across the street from us.

Fred Pearce, an acclaimed science writer from the UK, will be here to read from his recent work, including When the Rivers Run Dry: Water the Defining Crisis of the Twenty-First Century, Confessions of an Eco-Sinner, and The Coming Population Crash.

  • Tuesday, August 24th 7pm – Book Club

Book: Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon

Several local poets who are featured in the upcoming anthology New Poets of the American West (edited by Lowell Jaeger), including Carolyn Pinet, Joanne Troxel, and June Safford, will be here to share their poetry. The night will also include an open mic. Sign ups for the open mic will be first come, first served on the night of the event.

SEPTEMBER 2010

  • Saturday, September 11th —  1-3pm – Michele Corriel: Book Release, Meet the Author, Signing

Local author Michele Corriel will be here to read from and sign her new middle grade children’s novel, Fairview Felines: A Newspaper Mystery.  Children and teens encouraged to attend.

Welcome new Bozeman resident and young adult author Janet Fox, whose most recent novel, Faithful, is set in Yellowstone National Park. Janet will be here to talk and sign books. Children and teens encouraged to attend.

  • Tuesday, September 28th 7pm – Book Club
