- Lucky by Alice Sebold- Very emotional – good
- Red River by Lalita Tademy- Great book, historical fiction

- The Shack by William P. Young – Surprising; makes you think
- Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner- Fun, a bit predictable but good
- The Wyrm King – Spiderwick – 3rd book of the 2nd series; good so far!
